The government launched a mass upskilling initiative to link skills development with labor market needs to increase UAE nationals’ employability. Curated learning tracks at the group and individual learner levels, sourced from the world’s best platforms, are brought together to offer personalized and engaging learning across a spectrum of domains. The objective is to enable nationals to develop top-notch skills in multiple fields aligned with emerging trends. “Democratizing Learning” for every member of society was the leadership’s mandate for this project, aimed at creating a lifelong learning culture in the emirate.

Situation

• To be able to succeed in an evolving competence-based economy, Abu Dhabi needs a lifelong learning platform that responds to the needs of the new era and the dynamic world
• The need for an aggregator to host all the content that was especially developed for the target audience and offer it in a seamless easy to use platform, targeting different audiences depending on their needs using AI
• The need to combine assessments with comprehensive reporting and analysis to continuously gauge usage and needs of target audience
• To map the skills of the existing population to the government competencies and identify potential learners for future roles
